Big Changes Keep Coming
Due to the added stress of a new baby and the move to Sacramento, Wrigley is taking a vacation from writing his blog. I am filling in until he feels well enough to write again. We have had some big changes as a family lately. As if having a baby wasn’t enough, we just moved to the Sacramento area for Tom’s work. (Great call on the Uhaul Dad!) I DO NOT recommend moving three weeks after having a baby! We are now settled in except for a few more boxes that need unpacking. I already miss the Bay area and my favorite city in the world, but Tom is really excited to finally have his own practice in his new office.
Liam is growing way to fast for me. He changes daily. I still see so much Schirtzinger in him, but occasionally the Gibson genes flash and I see hints of Tom. He is already such a talker with big things to say. He grunts all the time and hums every time he is fed. He is now smiling, and my favorite smiles are the ones he makes right as his eyes are closing to fall asleep. He is getting stronger and is holding his head up all the time to look around him. He is now pushing off of us when we hold him and is so alert to all the sounds and sights. He was blessed on our last day at church in Pleasanton on October 25th and Tom did a wonderful job. (Thanks Nana for the adorable blessing outfit.)

- Liam is questioning his fancy blessing outfit!

Nana and Papa left and we miss them so much. It was great to have my mom here for the past month, and it made me start wondering why I chose to live so far away from my family. We had a great time together and I can’t wait to have Liam meet the rest of my family at Christmas.

Proud Papa
Liam just celebrated his first Halloween last night. He was a giraffe, although several of the neighborhood kids thought he was a cow! Tom’s parent’s neighborhood knows how to do Halloween. The parents get together and have potluck trick-or-treating while the kids get the candy, so we sat around the firepit and had chili and Mel’s famous meatballs until Liam decided he had had enough and fussed the rest of the night. Hopefully he will like Halloween better next year!
